چکیده
Abstract Malaysia’s coastline is constantly exposed to ocean threats, resulting in coastal erosion and sea-level rise. Pulau Tuba’s a part of Langkawi which known as popular tourist destination Malaysia. This study focuses on using remote sensing Geographical Information System (GIS) tools examine changes along the Tuba, Langkawi, during six-year period. In this research, were analyzed Sentinel-2 imagery from 2016 2021, result comparison extraction methods. Coastline methods used include 3x3-5x5 7x7 edge detection filtering techniques. Image classifier Maximum Likelihood (ML) Support Vector Machine (SVM) also quantify estimated coastlines length. Digital Shoreline Analysis (DSAS) was calculate rate images. The between method extract revealed that best window size image SVM outperform MLC classifier. DSAS statistical calculation highlighted come parts Tuba experiencing alarming erosion. authority needs plan for soft hard structure mitigate impact future.

Spatiotemporal Estimation of PM2.5 Concentration Using Remotely Sensed Data, Machine Learning, and Optimization Algorithms
PM 2.5 (particles <2.5 μm in aerodynamic diameter) can be measured by ground station data in urban areas, but the number of these stations and their geographical coverage is limited. Therefore, these data are not adequate for calculating concentrations of Pm2.5 over a large urban area. This study aims to use Aerosol Optical Depth (AOD) satellite images and meteorological data from 2014 to 2017 ...
متن کاملVariographic Analysis of Multi-source Remotely Sensed Imageries by Wavelet-based Approaches
In the times of wide uses of commercialized high resolution satellite imageries, urban remote sensing is regarded as one of the important application fields. Currently, the main subjects and issues in urban remote sensing focus on the various attempts and approaches for these types of image data sets, distinguished from conventional image processing in remote sensing. Three types of different s...
متن کاملUsing Remotely Sensed Imagery for Forest Resource Assessment and Inventory
Forests are complex ecosystems that develop over centuries through the interactions between organisms and biogeochemical cycles of elements occurring in the soil-atmosphere continuum. The biomass and structure of a forest stand is involved in several ecosystem processes and has been used as an indicator of forest health and productivity. The forest biomass is a key component of the carbon cycle...
متن کاملDigital Processing of Remotely Sensed Multispectral Data
Although it is well recognized that photointerpretation of the Landsat imagery can provide adequate information for mapping broad categories of land cover at a reconnaissance level, it is also true that the Landsat data in digital format (CCT's) together with numerical (computer-aided) analysis techniques can provide a great deal more information at a higher level of mapping detail with mapping...
متن کاملMotion Estimation of Sparse, Remotely-sensed Fields
Sea surface temperature (SST) can be estimated from remotely-sensed images. Because of the sparsity of the available observation it is ideal to do estimation using dynamic methods (such as Kalman filtering). To model dynamics of SST accurately we need to know motion of sea current. The traditional video motion estimation problem is straightforward, in some ways, because there are so few constra...
